Vice President of Program Management (VPPM)

One of our US-based offices - Bay Area / Detroit / DC

As Vice President of Program Management at Cavnue, you are tasked with keeping the beat of our tech organization steady. Serving as the owner of Cavnue’s execution against its mission, having one foot in the details of Cavnue’s products and one foot in the board room. This is a critical position, perfect for someone who has a bias to action, is able to think strategically yet also manage products and processes, and who has a passion for building products throughout their lifecycles.


  • Articulating the product vision, creating the product roadmap, translating the needs of the customers into product requirements, and ensuring that the products meet the business needs of the company.

  • Determining and executing on the technical roadmap for Cavnue’s first product launches, including being responsible for execution against Cavnue’s key technical objectives and key results.

  • Prioritizing and managing issues, risks, dependencies, and resolving misalignments with overall scope and schedule including proactively identifying and eliminating risks to the technical roadmap.

  • Synthesizing complicated data on technical progress and communicating this to Cavnue leadership, flagging areas of risk and key accomplishments.

  • Partnering closely with business development and engineering leadership to ensure that all requirements and milestones are being met, ensuring that there are adequate tools and processes to ensure these remain on track.

  • Proactively identifying areas to improve technical team operations and product development timelines

  • The ideal candidate is willing and able to get their hands dirty from creating board decks to managing product development process to supporting customer conversations.


  • Bachelors or Masters in a technical discipline.

  • ~10+ years of experience in Product Management, or Technical Program Management - orchestrating complex technical hardware and software projects in a related field including robotics, autonomous vehicles, automotive, or aerospace.

  • Demonstrated success in launching products from zero to one, in a scrappy and lean environment.

  • An incredible ability to bring clarity and focus to complex and ambiguous situations.

  • Expert knowledge of project management tools, software, and best practices.

  • Experience in projects that involve a complex interplay between hardware and software, with experience in computer vision or machine learning a plus

  • Experience driving the continuous/ongoing performance evaluation of highly complex systems.
